So, we are much more attracted to the fame and neocgrition of having made it, thanks to a talent, rather than the actual work. This reminds me of the saying: enjoy the road getting there, not the outcome. I guess it's in our humanness A couple of years ago I started taking piano classes because I'd like to be able to play all those classical pieces I love to listen to. But I quit after a few months, like you, because of all the learning and theory which wasn't the fun part. I just wanted to play. And good. From the beginning.
